As of today, there have been over 74 million COVID-19 confirmed cases worldwide, and more than 1.6 million people have died due to COVID-19.
Thankfully, we’ve kept it under control here in Singapore.
As of 12pm today (17 December 2020), the Ministry of Health (MOH) has preliminarily confirmed 24 new cases of COVID-19 infection.

All of them are imported cases. Amongst them, 13 are returning Singaporeans or Singapore Permanent Residents.
This brings the total number of cases in Singapore to 58,377.
Based on yesterday’s figures, the number of new cases in the community has remained low, with no new cases in the past week.
86 Active Cases
There are currently 25 confirmed cases who are still in hospital. Of these, most are stable or improving, and none is in the intensive care unit.
61 are isolated and cared for at community facilities. These are those who have mild symptoms, or are clinically well but still test positive for COVID-19.
29 have passed away from complications due to COVID-19 infection.
