15 New Covid-19 Cases Reported Today (19 Sep); 1 Case In The Community & 5 Imported

This is something we can get used to.

Having less than 20 new Covid-19 cases per day.

The day before, it was 18, then yesterday, it was 11.

As of 12pm on 19 Sep 2020, the Ministry of Health (MOH) preliminarily reported 15 new Covid-19 cases.

There is one new case in the community, a Singaporean.

There are five new imported cases as well, all of whom have been placed on Stay-Home-Notice (SHN) upon arrival in Singapore.

This brings the total number of cases in Singapore to 57,558.

Case Details On 18 Sep 2020

Similar to the trend over the past few days, a vast majority of cases reported yesterday are asymptomatic cases (10 out of 11).

The single case in the community is an unlinked case, a 30-year-old man who was found after being diagnosed with an acute respiratory infection (ARI).

Epidemiological investigations are still ongoing for this case, MOH says, and close contacts have been identified and isolated.

There is 1 imported case, a work pass holder who arrived in Singapore on 6 Sep from India.

She was placed on 14-day Stay-Home-Notice (SHN) upon arrival in Singapore and was detected during her SHN.

The remaining 9 cases belong to migrant workers staying in dormitories.

5 of them were contacts of previously-confirmed cases and has been placed on quarantine.

Another 4 of them were detected through routine testing, such as the bi-weekly routine rostered test.

As of 18 Sep 2020, the average number of Covid-19 cases in the community has dropped from two to one.

Meanwhile, the number of unlinked cases has remained stable at one.

States Court & CCK Sunshine Place Visited By Covid-19 Cases

In the update by the Ministry of Health (MOH) at night, two more places were added to the list of places visited by Covid-19 cases in their infectious period.

One is the place where laws are upheld, the State Courts, while the other is at Sunshine Place in Choa Chu Kang.
