In Singapore, it appears that our goal now is to bring back normalcy as the virus appears to be so much under control, we’re now focusing on when KTV can reopen instead of how many cases there are today.
But you’re here so you’re probably still concerned about the numbers, so here goes: today (23 October 2020), as of 12 pm, the Ministry of Health (MOH) has preliminarily confirmed 10 new cases of COVID-19 infection.
All of them are imported cases.
This brings the total number of cases to 57,951.
On average, based on yesterday’s numbers, the number of new cases in the community has decreased from 4 cases in the week before, to 2 in the past week.
The number of unlinked cases in the community has increased from none in the week before, to 2 cases in the past week.
84 Confirmed Cases Still Isolated or Treated
So far, 57,829 have fully recovered from the infection and have been discharged from hospitals or community care facilities.
There are currently 45 confirmed cases who are still in hospital. Of these, most are stable or improving, and none is in the intensive care unit. 39 are isolated and cared for at community facilities.
These are those who have mild symptoms, or are clinically well but still test positive for COVID-19.
28 have passed away from complications due to COVID-19 infection.
In the meantime, you should download the TraceTogether app if you’ve not done so, because soon, you’d need it whenever you go.
