15 New Covid-19 Cases Reported Today (28 Sep); 2 Cases in The Community

As of 12pm on 28 Sep 2020, the Ministry of Health preliminarily reported 15 new Covid-19 cases.

This brings the total number of cases in Singapore to 57,715.

Good news, they’re still within the 10-20 range we’ve been experiencing lately.

Not so good (but still manageable news), there are 2 cases in the community, both work pass holders.

There are also 6 imported cases, all of whom were placed on Stay-Home-Notice (SHN) upon arrival in Singapore.

Details On 27 Sep 2020 Cases

On 27 Sep 2020, 15 new Covid-19 cases were reported.

There were no new cases in the community.

Five imported cases were reported, two of them Permanent Residents (PRs) and three work permit holders.

The two PR cases had returned to Singapore from India on 15 Sep and 25 Sep 2020.

One work permit holder arrived in Singapore from Indonesia on 15 Sep, while the two remaining work permit holders arrived from the Philippines, also on 15 Sep.

There were 10 cases reported from foreign workers living in dormitories.

Six of them are contacts of earlier-confirmed cases and have already been placed on quarantine.

They were tested positive during their quarantine to verify their status.

The remaining 4 cases were detected through surveillance testing.

It was additionally mentioned that 14 out of 15 cases reported on 27 Sep 2020 are asymptomatic cases.

One Dorm Cluster Closed

According to MOH, the cluster at 51 Paya Ubi Industrial Park has been closed.

It does not have any new Covid-19 cases linked to it for the past 28 days, or two incubation cycles.

No New Location Added To MOH’s List of Places

On 27 Sep 2020, no new location was added to MOH’s list of places visited by infectious Covid-19 cases.
