Yesterday was a goody day, with merely 1 COVID-19 case.
Today? Not that goody, though there’s still no case in the community.
As of 12pm today, the Ministry of Health (MOH) has preliminarily confirmed 9 new cases of COVID-19 infection.
2 of them are dorm cases while 7 of them are imported cases.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases here in Singapore to 58,029.
Based on yesterday’s numbers, the number of new cases in the community has remained low, with a total of 2 cases in the past week. Both cases are currently unlinked.
68 Active Cases Still in Isolation
As fewer people are diagnosed and more people discharged, the number of active COVID-19 cases has dropped to 68 as of yesterday.
There are currently 46 confirmed cases who are still in hospital. Of these, most are stable or improving, and none is in the intensive care unit.
22 are isolated and cared for at community facilities. These are those who have mild symptoms, or are clinically well but still test positive for COVID-19.
28 have passed away from complications due to COVID-19 infection.
