After yesterday’s single-digit report, I bet you think we’re going to see fewer than 10 cases daily now.
Unfortunately, yesterday appeared to be a one-off day as today, as of 12pm, the Ministry of Health (MOH) has preliminarily confirmed an additional 12 cases of COVID-19 infection in Singapore.
This brings the total number of cases in Singapore to 57,812.

Out of today’s cases, 2 are community cases and they’re both work pass holders.
There are 6 new imported cases, all of whom had been placed on Stay-Home Notice upon arrival in Singapore.
On average, based on yesterday’s numbers, Overall, the number of new cases in the community has increased from an average of fewer than 1 case per day in the week before, to an average of 1 case in the past week.
The number of unlinked cases in the community has remained stable at an average of fewer than 1 case per day in the past 2 weeks.
Overall Situation Based on Yesterday’s Number
On 3 Oct 2020, 28 Covid-19 cases in hospitals and community care facilities (CCFs) are discharged.
This brings the total number of recoveries to 57,562.
There are another 46 cases still hospitalised, with none in the intensive care unit.
There are also 165 Covid-19 cases being cared for at the CCFs.

With the discharge, the recovery rate of the coronavirus in Singapore now stands at 99.6%. (Total recovered divided by the total number of cases).
MOH has also added two new locations to the list of places visited by infectious Covid-19 cases.

All close contacts have been identified and notified by the ministry.
