Exactly one year ago, on this day, Donald Trump signed the Coronavirus Preparedness and Response Supplemental Appropriations Act, which provided $8.3 billion in emergency funding for federal agencies to respond to the outbreak – a sign that he was taking COVID-19 seriously.
And one year later, we’re still writing about the number of new cases daily.
As of 12pm today (6 March), the Ministry of Health (MOH) has preliminarily confirmed 13 new cases of COVID-19 infection.

12 of them are imported cases, while 1 is a community case. MOH will provide more details of the cases tonight.
This brings the total number of cases in Singapore to 60,020.
Based on yesterday’s figures, the number of new cases in the community has decreased from 4 cases in the week before to 3 cases in the past week. The number of unlinked cases in the community has remained stable at 2 cases per week in the past 2 weeks.
108 Active Cases
There are currently 17 confirmed cases who are still in hospital. Of these, most are stable or improving, and 1 is in critical condition in the intensive care unit.
91 are isolated and cared for at community facilities. These are those who have mild symptoms, or are clinically well but still test positive for COVID-19.
29 have passed away from complications due to COVID-19 infection.
