49 COVID-19 Cases Today (13 Aug); 45 Are Community Cases With 13 of Them Unlinked

The number of daily cases has continued to be on a downward trend.

As of 12pm today (13 Aug), the Ministry of Health (MOH) has preliminarily confirmed 49 new cases of COVID-19 infection.

45 of them are community cases, and 13 of them are unlinked.

Based on yesterday’s number, the number of new cases in the community has decreased from 723 cases in the week before to 412 cases in the past week. The number of unlinked cases in the community has also decreased from 215 cases in the week before to 117 cases in the past week.

The 7-day moving average number of all linked community cases and all unlinked community cases are 42.1 and 16.7 respectively.

470 Cases in Hospitals; 8,241,298 COVID-19 Vaccine Doses Administered

470 cases are currently warded in hospital. There are currently 36 cases of serious illness requiring oxygen supplementation, and 9 in critical condition in the ICU. 5 amongst these 45 cases are fully vaccinated.

Of those who have fallen very ill, 37 are seniors above 60 years, of whom 32 are completely unvaccinated or partially vaccinated.

As of yesterday, there are currently 119 active clusters, ranging between 3 and 1,151 infections.

As of 11 August 2021, we have administered a total of 8,241,298 doses of COVID-19 vaccines under the national vaccination programme (Pfizer-BioNTech Comirnaty and Moderna), covering 4,393,708 individuals, with 3,974,953 individuals having completed the full vaccination regimen.

In addition, 141,405 doses of other vaccines recognised in the World Health Organization’s Emergency Use Listing (WHO EUL) have been administered as of 11 August 2021, covering 82,881 individuals.

In total, 73% of our population has completed their full regimen/ received two doses of COVID-19 vaccines, and 81% has received at least one dose.
