Yes, it’s getting so much more predictable.
As of 12pm today (15 Aug), the Ministry of Health (MOH) has preliminarily confirmed 53 new cases of COVID-19 infection.
50 of them are community cases, and 14 of them are unlinked.
Based on yesterday’s number, the number of new cases in the community has decreased from 611 cases in the week before to 377 cases in the past week. The number of unlinked cases in the community has also decreased from 166 cases in the week before to 101 cases in the past week.
The 7-day moving average number of all linked community cases and all unlinked community cases are 39.4 and 14.4 respectively
New COVID-19 Clusters Reported on 14 Aug Include 2 Bus Interchanges
In August alone, we’ve seen clusters at all types of establishments, including hospitals and preschools.
Now, we have two new ones reported on 14 Aug that are linked to bus interchange staff members.
The first, at the Bishan bus interchange, has a total of nine cases.
The second, at Sengkang bus interchange, has 13 infections.
The third cluster was linked to an individual case with no further specifics provided by the Ministry of Health (MOH).
The My First Skool Cluster, located at 54 Chin Swee Road, had five more additions yesterday, bringing its total to 17.
Two more infections were also linked to the Superland Pre-School cluster, located at Kreta Ayer Community Centre. The cluster now has 13 cases.
With MOH closing eight more clusters yesterday, the total number of active clusters is now 111.
No new cases have been added to the Jurong Fishery Port/ Hong Lim Market & Food Centre cluster for the last three days. However, it remains our larges active cluster with 1,155 infections.
451 Cases in Hospitals; 8,343,303 COVID-19 Vaccine Doses Administered
451 cases are currently warded in hospital. There are currently 26 cases of serious illness requiring oxygen supplementation, and 9 in critical condition in the ICU. 6 amongst these 35 cases are fully vaccinated.
Of those who have fallen very ill, 31 are seniors above 60 years, of whom 25 are completely unvaccinated or partially vaccinated.
As of yesterday, there are currently 111 active clusters, ranging between 3 and 1,155 infections.
As of 13 August 2021, we have administered a total of 8,343,303 doses of COVID-19 vaccines under the national vaccination programme (Pfizer-BioNTech Comirnaty and Moderna), covering 4,413,484 individuals, with 4,058,584 individuals having completed the full vaccination regimen.
In addition, 145,688 doses of other vaccines recognised in the World Health Organization’s Emergency Use Listing (WHO EUL) have been administered as of 13 August 2021, covering 83,327 individuals.
In total, 75% of our population has completed their full regimen/ received two doses of COVID-19 vaccines, and 81% has received at least one dose.
