136 COVID-19 Cases Today (28 Jul); 130 Are Community Cases With 48 of Them Unlinked

While the number of cases linked to the KTV cluster is dropping, the number of unlinked cases is still consistently high.

As of 12pm today (28 Jul), the Ministry of Health (MOH) has preliminarily confirmed 136 new cases of COVID-19 infection.

130 are community cases.

Of the 130 locally-transmitted cases, 48 are currently unlinked. 2 cases belong to the KTV cluster, while 27 are linked to the Jurong Fishery Port cluster.

This brings the total number of cases in Singapore to 64,589.

Based on yesterday’s figures, the number of new cases in the community has increased from 642 cases in the week before to 967 cases in the past week. The number of unlinked cases in the community has also increased from 46 cases in the week before to 182 cases in the past week.

The 7-day moving average number of all linked community cases and all unlinked community cases are 112.1 and 26 respectively.

4 New COVID-19 Clusters Reported Yesterday (27 July), Including a Pri School Cleaner & a Dorm

Four new COVID-19 clusters were formed yesterday, bringing the total number of active clusters in the country to 39.

One of the clusters is linked to a cleaner at Punggol Primary School, while another was identified at Westlite Juniper Dormitory.

The school cluster currently has four cases, while the dormitory cluster has nine.

The remaining two clusters involved individual cases. Both have three infections each.

545 Cases in Hospitals; 7,256,331 COVID-19 Vaccine Doses Administered

545 cases are currently warded in hospital.Most are well and under observation. There are currently 21 cases of serious illness requiring oxygen supplementation, and 2 in critical condition in the intensive care unit (ICU). 1 amongst these 23 cases is fully vaccinated, but requires oxygen supplementation as she has underlying medical conditions. 13 seniors above 60 years, of whom 12 are completely unvaccinated or partially vaccinated, have fallen very ill.

In total, there are currently 39 active clusters, ranging between 3 and 902 infections.

As of 26 July 2021, we have administered a total of 7,256,331 doses of COVID-19 vaccines under the national vaccination programme. The total number of doses administered was 7,256,331, covering 4,254,789 individuals. 3,122,180 individuals have completed the full vaccination regimen, consisting of 120,638 recovered persons who received at least one dose and 3,001,542 who received their second dose.

In addition, 89,047 doses of Sinovac vaccines have been administered as of 26 July 2021, covering 69,769 individuals.
