12 COVID-19 Cases Today (7 Jul); 5 Are Community Cases With 2 of Them Unlinked

It seems like the new normal is single-digit community cases nowadays.

As of 12pm today (7 Jul), the Ministry of Health (MOH) has preliminarily confirmed 12 new cases of COVID-19 infection.

5 of them are community cases, and 2 of them are unlinked.

This brings the total number of cases in Singapore to 62,652.

Based on yesterday’s numbers, the number of new cases in the community has decreased from 76 cases in the week before to 24 cases in the past week. The number of unlinked cases in the community has also decreased from 11 cases in the week before to 5 cases in the past week.

The 7-day moving average number of all linked community cases and all unlinked community cases are 2.7 and 0.7 respectively.

99 Cases in Hospitals; 5,858,571COVID-19 Vaccine Doses Administered

99 cases are currently warded in hospital. Most are well and under observation. There are currently 8 cases of serious illness requiring oxygen supplementation, and 3 in critical condition in the intensive care unit (ICU).

There are currently 22 active clusters, ranging between 3 and 93 infections. MOH has been monitoring existing clusters for any further transmission. As there have been no more cases linked to the Case 63964 and Atatcutz Singapore clusters for the past two incubation periods (i.e. 28 days), the clusters have now been closed.

As of 5 July 2021, we have administered a total of 5,858,571 doses of COVID-19 vaccines under the national vaccination programme. The total number of doses administered was 5,858,571, covering 3,670,862 individuals. 2,187,709 individuals have received their second dose and completed the full vaccination regimen.
