We’re nearing the end of Phase 2 (Heightened Alert), but that does not mean we can let our guards down. After all, there are still multiple community cases in today’s report.
As of 12pm today (13 Jun), the Ministry of Health (MOH) has preliminarily confirmed 13 new cases of COVID-19 infection.
10 of them are community cases with 2 of them unlinked.
The other 3 are imported cases.
This brings the total number of cases in Singapore to 62,276.
Based on yesterday’s figures, the number of new cases in the community has decreased from 129 cases in the week before to 32 cases in the past week. The number of unlinked cases in the community has also decreased from 20 cases in the week before to 14 cases in the past week.
Unlinked Community Cases Reported Yesterday Include a SIM Student Who Was Last in School on 24 May
The most recent confirmed unlinked community case that was reported yesterday includes an 18-year-old female Singaporean student who studies at SIM Global Education.
After developing a runny nose and fever on 10 June, she went to a General Practitioner (GP) clinic on 11 June where she was subjected to an antigen rapid test (ART) as well as a polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test.
Her ART result came back positive and she was promptly isolated.
Her PCR result came back later but it confirmed the ART result.
Her serology test, however, is still pending.

- A 57-year-old male Malaysian who works as a land rigger at Jurong Port Pte Ltd. He was vaccinated but showing signs of asymptomatic infection. It is likely that he is shedding minute fragments of the virus RNA, resulting in a positive test result. His subsequent test on 12 June came back negative.
- A 45-year-old female cleaner from China who works at ION Orchard. She’s asymptomatic.
- A 68-year-old male Singaporean landscape gardener at Amozania Landscape Pte Ltd. After developing a runny nose and cough on 8 June, he sought medical treatment at a GP clinic on 11 June and subsequently tested positive for COVID-19. He was fully vaccinated.
