There are several things to look forward to this June, from the June school holidays to the SUGA concert.
And, of course, Cristiano Ronaldo’s visit to Singapore.
Here’s what you need to know about it.
Football Star Cristiano Ronaldo is Coming to Singapore Again in June 2023
Football fans, get excited! Cristiano Ronaldo is coming back to Singapore again!
On Saturday (13 May), the Portuguese footballer posted a photo on Instagram from the last time he visited Singapore. In the caption, he shared that he will return to Singapore in June.

We hope he won’t have to battle the April and May heat by the time June rolls around.
You’ll be able to catch the 38-year-old from early to mid-June as he visits our little red dot to support the Singapore Olympic Foundation (SOF)-Peter Lim Scholarship recipients.
The last time the footballer came to Singapore in 2019, he visited the students at Yumin Primary School as a guest for the SOF-Peter Lim Scholarship initiative.
Suddenly wished you were still young now, huh?
During his 2019 visit, the football star also made an appearance at Our Tampines Hub, drawing fans from all over the nation to the east to catch a glimpse of Ronaldo.
We won’t lie; the bright orange shirt brings back memories of the footballer’s Shopee advertisement. What a time.
Scholarship Donor Peter Lim A “Good Friend” of Cristiano Ronaldo
Ronaldo’s 2019 visit wasn’t his first visit to Singapore as a guest for the SOF-Peter Lim Scholarship initiative either.
Earlier in 2013, Ronaldo also came as a guest for the scholarship initiative during his first visit to Singapore. The 38-year-old, who now plays for the Saudi Pro League club Al Nassr, visited Crest Secondary School during his 2013 trip here.

As it turns out, the football player is a good friend of the Singaporean businessman who the SOF-Peter Lim Scholarship is named after—the billionaire Peter Lim himself.
In 2010, Lim donated $10 million to set up the scholarship.
Lim, who owns Mint Media Sports, is such good friends with Ronaldo that the football player even trusted Mint Media with his image rights.
Ronaldo even flew to Singapore in 2017 to see Lim’s daughter after she had given birth.
You don’t need friends in high places when you’re both already in high places.
Ronaldo: “Let’s Continue the Good Work”
Last month, Ronaldo posted a photo of Ng Ser Miang, the vice president of the International Olympic Committee and a board member of the Singapore National Olympic Council, presenting a plaque reading “Decade of Outstanding Contribution Award” to the football star.

It’s not the Star Awards, but let’s cue the Star Awards music anyway.
The footballer shared that he is proud to have supported the SOF-Peter Lim Scholarship initiative for the past decade.
“Let’s continue the good work,” he adds.
The $10 million donation used to set up the SOF-Peter Lim scholarship in 2010 is the single largest donation from an individual to sports development in Singapore.
And as if that wasn’t enough, in 2019, Lim pledged another $10 million to the scholarship so that it could continue running until 2030.
Talk about a game-changer.
