By now, even the cats living in the hidden caves of Yishun would have seen the cyclist / lorry video. If you haven’t, I’d suggest that you pay your Internet bills and go to Facebook. You’d most likely see these:

Lest you’ve not downloaded our app because you die-die think our app sucks (which I kind of agree, but anyways), here are some more info: the lorry driver had swerved because the taxi beside it honked at him, and after the incident, the cyclist looked okay and went off.

Soon after, both were arrested; the cyclist would be charged for rash riding and mischief, while the lorry driver could be charged for rash driving.

But no, the story doesn’t end there: after all, for a video to clock more than 2 million views, you’d expect media companies like Trashy Feed to write even more stories about this.

And write we do, because this latest story might just make you lose hope in humanity #justsaying

Aftermath of Incident

Immediately after the incident, this occurred:

However, it turned out that soon after, the cyclist suddenly turned “friendly”. They did not exchange particulars and the cyclist did not want to be sent to a hospital.

But it turns out that there’s more to this story.

Cyclist and lorry driver Crossed Path in Police Station

One day after the video blew up online, both of them were called to a police station.

And here’s the kicker: the cyclist allegedly gave the driver a “cold smile”.

Reason being?

The cyclist had his left hand bandaged.

For some reason, they were only about three to four metres away from each other, and the driver alleged that the cyclist even showed the policeman an X-ray and pointed at it.

The lorry driver was advised by the police officer not to look further as it could escalate the situation.

Of course this confused the driver (and us): Why was his hand bandaged? Why an X-ray? Why did the cyclist refused to let the driver took a video of him? Why didn’t they exchange particulars if the cyclist is injured so that the driver can settle the medical fees privately? Why is the cyclist always smiling?

And remember, the cyclist looked fine after the incident.

This made the driver confused; he had a feeling that the cyclist was “toying” with him and fear that it would lead to something else.

I don’t know about you, but I feel that chances are, there’s going to be a follow-up story on this.

I’m buying 5kg of popcorn. Are you?
