Great girlfriend, not-so-great daughter
According to the Mirror, a Thai woman tried to murder her mother so that she could use her life insurance payout to bail her boyfriend out of jail.
Yes, go on, read it again: a woman tried to kill her own mother just so she could use the inheritance to bail out her criminal boyfriend.
25-year-old Kanchana Srisung hired two hitmen to shoot her mother Ueamduean Srisung, 55, in the BuengKum district of Bangkok, Thailand.

Ueamduean was riding a bicycle home when she was shot in the chest on 22 June.
She was rushed to the hospital and was in a coma for over a month.
Thankfully, she managed to recover and later reported the matter to the police.
Confession
The police looked through Kanchana’s phone and discovered that the 25-year-old had corresponded with the two hitmen.
Kanchana had paid the hitmen 200,000 baht (S$9,000) to kill her mother.

She later confessed to the police that she had attempted to murder her mother so she could inherit her assets.
“I knew that my mother has three life insurance policies and owns a lot of land in the northern countryside which could be worth more than 10 million baht”, she said.
“My boyfriend was is in prison for drugs and I needed money for bailing him out”, she added.
While this is bad enough, this isn’t the first time the 25-year-old has tried to murder her mother.
Not the first time
According to her grandmother, Kanchana tried to gun down her mother earlier in January but misfired.

Regarding this incident, the victim, Kanchana’s mother, said: “I did not contact the police after the first attempt because I felt sorry for my daughter for making a mistake.”
“But this time I felt insecure living out here with my daughter waiting to kill me. I can forgive her but I will not visit her in prison. I will let the police do their job”, she said.
In addition to Kanchana’s arrest, the police charged three men with attempted murder and two of them were also charged with illegal firearms offences, according to the Mirror.
However, even though Kanchana confessed to the crime, the police believe her boyfriend might have coerced her into committing this horrific act.
Love can make you do crazy things, but this takes it to a whole new demented level.
Getting into relationships should really come with a warning: NOT FOR THE DUMB OR EMOTIONALLY UNSTABLE.
