Back in 2018, Singaporeans in the Ang Mo Kio and Seletar area were shocked when hard pellets of ice started falling from the sky.
Fast forward to two years later and people near a West Coast construction site would have stones raining down on them.
Fortunately, this isn’t an act of nature, but man-made instead.
Here’s what happened.
Debris Fell from Construction Site at West Coast
This incident allegedly happened at a construction site located near the Pantech Business Hub, located at Pandan Loop, West Coast.
In a video posted onto All Singapore Stuff, debris could be seen scattered around the street.
The debris seems to have come from the construction site located just next to the street.
Some of the debris consists of huge chunks of rocks that can potentially cause heavy injuries.
Parked Cars Were Not Spared
According to the caption of the post, no pedestrians were hurt in the incident even though it claimed that the debris “nearly hit pedestrians”.
However, the cars parked nearby were not so lucky.
At least one car was shown on the video with a corner of its roof dented.
While the scene was being filmed, there were no efforts to cordon off the area to stop other people from driving or walking into the danger area.
People could be seen in the video observing the rubble, including a construction worker.
Meanwhile, all the way across the world in China, an elderly man literally experienced what it means to be raining cats and dogs.
Instead of rocks or hailstones, a cat fell onto this elderly gentleman, landing him in the hospital for 23 days in early July.
The man’s golden retriever attempted to avenge its master but was fought off by the feisty creature.
