Devoted JJ Lin Fans Queue 14 Hours For His Cafe’s Opening In Shanghai

Fans will do many things out of love for something or someone.

I’m pretty sure that some of us are guilty of buying concert tickets right as the minute strikes when purchasing commences.

Definitely not guilty of this, by the way.

There’s also the desperate fans who buy said concert tickets from dirty re-sellers at possibly double the price..

Or if you’re fans of JJ Lin, you might’ve queued 14 hours outside his new cafe.

Cosy Cafe

Imagine having good looks, a great voice and a cafe.

That’s definitely the Singaporean singing sensation alright.

JJ Lin has opened his second cafe on 11 November 2019 titled Miracle Coffee at Changle Road in Shanghai.

Looks like a pretty simple store from the outside, doesn’t it? And look at that queue.

The inside definitely gives off a more cosy and hip vibe.

The cafe is a part of Lin’s concept store SMUDGE, which stocks merchandise from the singer’s SMG fashion label.

Some say that before you eat with your mouth that you eat with your eyes first. Got to look good before you eat good, I suppose.

JJ Lin currently has two SMUDGE stores in Taiwan and opened the first Miracle Coffee outlet in Taipei last year.

Q-razy Queue And Fans

With great fame comes great responsibility.

Or a great long queue.

Only five customers were allowed to enter the cafe at a time and understandably so, the place doesn’t seem the biggest.

That didn’t seem to stop fans from queueing for a whopping 14 hours overnight before the store opened according to Chinese media.

All I’m going to say is that I’m not sure how to feel about losing to sleep to queue up for coffee and lose more sleep.

But you do you, man.

That queue makes me feel claustrophobic.

Others who didn’t queue overnight could possibly wait for six hours before going in and wait another two hours for their ordered product.

Admittedly, some of said products do look pretty sweet.

I could use a good cup of coffee myself.

Things like coffee beans were limited to two boxes per person at S$23.30 each. Understandable especially considering that monstrous queue.

By the way, remember I mentioned re-sellers near the beginning of the article?

The ones who got the early jump re-sold items like S$4 coffee cups for S$10 and some reportedly even re-sold clothing for an extra S$20.
