When put into perspective, watching the same movie the most number of times doesn’t seem so strange anymore, right?

That was what this Marvel fan thought because he decided to try and break the record for the most number of times you watch the same movie.

Totally No Chill

Agustin Alanis is a 30-year-old Marvel fan in Florida.

And as of 14 June 2019, has gone to watch the same movie 118 times.

“I go twice on weekdays, and on Saturday and Sunday, four to five times, which is the most I can because of the movie being three hours and two minutes long.”

Current Record Already Broken

The current official Guinness World Record is 103 times for Avengers: Endgame by this marvel fan in North Carolina, Anthony Mitchell.

At least, that’s according to the official Guinness World Record twitter account.

It was achieved on 28 Feb 2019.

But Alanis has no intention of stopping.

A Marvel Fan, First & Foremost

Alanis has carefully documented his journey to internet stardom with Twitter updates and wefies with the cinema ticketing staff.

However, when asked when he intended to stop his spree, he said he’s not going to stop anytime soon.

He will continue until the movie is taken off the cinema.

“I might reach 200, but who knows.”

Here’s How Much Time He Spent In The Cinema

As for how he has so much time to watch movies (when most of us poor souls don’t have enough time for sleep), it’s because he juggles the movie watching sessions and working at his family’s construction business.

By the way, just some quick maffs: Watching Avengers: Endgame 118 times equals to 358 hours worth of watch time.

That’s like 45 working days in Singapore.
