Dogs make amazing pets. Aside from being incredibly cute, they shower us with unconditional love in the form of licks and cuddles.
But they can also be a nuisance.
Like when you buy an expensive pair of shoes and come home to see it in pieces like it was expertly chopped by a chef.
Or when you just cleaned your house because you’re having guests over and your dog takes a huge steaming poop on your dining table just as the doorbell rings.
We get angry with our canine friends when they do these little annoying things, but sometimes, it may just save our life.
Dog Potentially Saved Taiwanese’s Life By Destroying Passport As Owner Wanted to Head to Wuhan
How would you feel if you came home and discovered that your dog had destroyed your passport just before a trip?
Personally, I’d be enraged beyond belief.
That’s what happened to one woman from Taiwan who was about to take a trip to Wuhan, China.
Before her trip, she found out that her dog had done this:
Yes, her dog had completely ripped her passport to shreds.
The woman shared pictures of the mess on Facebook, writing, “Once I got back to the room and found this scene! Can someone help me explain this…”
Clearly, the woman wasn’t pleased. Due to her doggo’s hunger for passports, she had to cancel her trip to Wuhan.
But that turned out to be a potentially life-saving move.
Wuhan virus
As you know, a novel coronavirus has developed in the Chinese city of Wuhan recently.
It’s a contagious virus that causes respiratory infection and can spread from human to human.
At the time of writing, the total number of confirmed coronavirus cases in China is 5,974, with the death toll rising to 132.
And the frightening thing about it is that the coronavirus has spread all over the world.
In Singapore, two new cases were confirmed yesterday (28 Jan), bringing the total number of infected patients to 7. Surgical masks were also allegedly sold out in many shops.
So, in destroying her passport, her little doggo might have just prevented her from contracting the Wuhan virus and maybe even saved her life.
“It’s Very Touching”
The woman later posted an update on Facebook to her previous post, saying, “Do you guys remember the passport? Throwback, this dog is really protecting me. After my passport was torn apart, the virus began to go where I originally planned to go. If I think about it now, it’s very touching. Fortunately, you blocked me from going on my trip.”
So, instead of getting a good scolding, this good boy might be getting many treats and walks in the coming weeks.
He certainly deserves it!
Though, if there are any dogs reading this, please don’t do what this fellow did. He can see the future; can you?
