At a time when there’s a deadly virus on the loose, people are losing their jobs, and loved ones are being separated due to travel restrictions, only one thing can put a smile on our faces: cute dog videos.

If you were stuck on a desert island with a laptop and somehow managed to find food and get access to WiFi, you could watch cute dog videos on the internet until you die because there’s an infinite number of them on the internet.

Still, you can never have too much dog content.

When things are so uncertain, as they are now, it’s nice to know that we’ll always have adorable doggos to fall back on.

Dogs are smarter than we give them credit for.

Don’t believe me? Have a look at what this little canine does when it feels a little warm.

In the video, the furry white pup leaves his cage and walks towards the fan.

He then climbs up on the TV cabinet and pushes the fan towards his cage while on his two hind legs.

While pushing the fan, it looks to its right and realises it’s being recorded on camera. A look of guilt quickly became a look of meh, who cares, I’ve already been caught.

So it returns to its cage, closes the little cage door, and enjoys the breeze.

Netizens, just like every other subspecies of humans, love dog videos and found this particular dog to be a rather smart pup.

Some people found the dog’s actions so inexplicable that they believed it was a human in dog form.

The dog probably saw its human owners move the fan towards them multiple times, and simply copied their movement.

And it had no choice. It was a hot dog, as one netizen put it, and it wanted to be cool and comfy inside its cage.

Who cares if my human owners are hot? They’ve had enough of that sweet breeze!

In response to this video, another dog owner on Twitter shared a video of his little guy doing something even more incredible: posing for a selfie.

It’s nice that no matter what the world is going through, dogs will always be able to make us smile.

And they certainly are smarter than we think.
