Dogs are cute.
I mean, just look at this dude.
And this dogette.
Yes. Dogs. Are. Cute.
Now, for those who love dogs but aren’t able to get one for one reason or another, I’ve got good news for you.
Now you can get your own furkid for a couple of hours in Singapore.
FurPal
Think dating apps, except so much better because dogs swipe right on every one. FurPal allows dog lovers without dogs to play with one for only $10 per hour.
Their website connects you to different dog owners who will allow you to play and cuddle with their dog.
The Process
The first thing you have to do is also the most fun, which is browsing dog profiles. Scroll through numerous cute canine faces and choose the one you’d like to play with.
Look at their wittle faces.
Make sure to read the introductions on their profiles because this lets you know about the dog’s personality, its age, and what kind of Netflix shows it likes to watch.
Then, all that’s left to do is to fix a time with the owner and prepare your heart for an excessive amount of warmth.
For Dog Owners
Dog owners who want to make some extra cash can also do so by creating a profile for their adorable dog on Furpal. Furpal takes a 30 per cent commission for every transaction though, so you’ll earn about $7 an hour if the rate is $10.
Dog lovers, what are you waiting for? You could be playing fetch with this doggo!
Or going for a walk with this cute Beagle.
You could even dine with a food connoisseur.
Start your canine journey here! Doggy smiles and wagging tails await.
Will This Service Become Permanent?
We hope so.
This could be a good thing because shelters might be able to make use of the service to help them help more dogs, instead of having to depend on donations.
But given how Singaporeans have a track record of the rental economy (think rental bicycles, car rental and Grab), we don’t hold very high hopes.
But then again, like my momma used to say, money doesn’t just make the world go round, it makes things complicated too.
We just hope that no furkids will be harmed in the process, yeah?
