It’s that time of the year again.
The time to be disappointed at missing out on yet another top prize at Ang Bao draw 2019, but still getting two GST vouchers (for some Singaporeans) this year.
And getting Starbucks coffee at half price.
Starbucks 1-for-1 venti-size drinks back again
Yes, you heard that right.
For the nth time, Starbucks is coming out with yet another 1-for-1 drinks promo again.
So if you’ve missed out on the previous few times, don’t worry.
Next week could finally be the week.
From 25 to 28 Feb 2019, 3 to 7 pm, make your way down to any Starbucks outlet, buy one venti-size drink and get another one on the house.
Yes, unfortunately, it’s that dreaded timing again, when everyone’s in the office or school.
So if you’re looking for a pick-me-up after lunch to get rid of the food coma, well, you’d have to be the boss’s pet to be able to go out for a coffee run.
Or just have a nice boss, not like the fat one in Goody Feed.
Now’s Your Chance To Try Starbuck’s New Drinks
Notice that the promo doesn’t say exclusive drinks?
As long as it’s a handcrafted venti-size drink, anything goes.
So why not take this chance to try out Starbuck’s new drinks?

You have the Cascara Macchiato, which, according to Starbucks, is freshly steamed milk with subtly sweet cascara syrup. The drink is then marked with espresso and finished with cascara sauce and a dash of Turkish coffee. Available hot, iced and blended.
My colleague, @handsomedude87 simply calls it yuenyeung.
Then, there is the Triple Citrus Cold Brew which is said to contain “a kiss of lemon, lime and grapefruit”. Delightful.
And finally, we have the Sakura Rose Mocha Frappuccino. Seeing how Singaporeans go gaga over sakura-flavoured everything, we’re pretty excited about this.
According to Starbucks:

The new Sakura Rose Mocha Frappuccino is a glorious combination of rose, chocolate, milk and ice that’s topped with mocha sauce and pretty pink Sakura chocolate flowers. A drink that looks gorgeous and tastes like happiness.
Gorgeous.
Just a Word of Warning
Now, while you’re excited to try out their new flavours, we’ve been monitoring the comments on Starbucks Facebook page.
And there are a couple of Starbucks customers who aren’t really fans of the new drinks.

But, hey, that isn’t stopping any of us from wanting to try it.
After all, if it’s nice, you got it at half price. And if the drinks aren’t that great? Well, at least you spent only half the price for it.
With that said, what are you waiting for?
Time to go to Starbucks for a coffee run liao!
(And go for a run after that, please. The calories are insane.)
