In case you’re unaware, GO-JEK’s now downloadable (and usable) by the public in Singapore.
Yup, no more waiting list or a priority list for DBS account holders.
And previously, GO-JEK promised that they’ll come in strong with plenty of perks for riders.
GO-JEK: “We Will Bring In Competitive Prices”
They said (pretty confidently) that they’ll come in guns blazing. Or, I directly quote, “competitive pricing”.
“Our strategy for launch is to make sure we are constantly acquiring customers through the right mechanisms… and that could be through promo codes (and) vouchers.”
Keywords here, promo codes and vouchers.
And true to their words, they’re now giving away free ride vouchers worth 13 dollars.
GO-JEK Promo For New Users
You’ll probably be very familiar with Carousell, Singapore’s premier marketplace for anything and everything that can be sold online.
Including maids.
Why Carousell?
So here’s the burning question: why Carousell? I mean, as a platform, they’re not exactly known to be the safest with plenty of scams.
According to GO-JEK’s spokesperson, they’ve been looking to partner up with local brands that are just as committed to making the “everyday lives of people better”.
And Carousell, Singapore’s most well-known marketplace, is just what they’re looking for.
Well, now you’ve another reason to make your way to Carousell now.
Because of GO-JEK free ride vouchers.
From now until 6 Mar 2019, as long as you download the GO-JEK app via their ads on Carousell’s app or website, you’ll receive $13 ride vouchers for your next new GO-JEK rides.
A $3 voucher when you first install GO-JEK via Carousell. And the usual two 5-dollar vouchers for GO-JEK new riders.
Terms and Conditions Apply:
- All vouchers are valid for 14 days
- Vouchers will be issued within 24 hours of a user installing the GO-JEK app and creating a GO-JEK account.
- A voucher will be automatically applied when you make a booking on GO-JEK.
Will Grab Follow The Trend of Promo Codes? Don’t Hold Your Breath
Previously, Grab said that they will not engage GO-JEK in a price war. Instead, they’ll be focusing on bringing “long-term” benefits for their customers.
But wait. Don’t go and cry in a corner first. Because experts in the industry said otherwise.
Analysts said that Grab might have no choice. Especially when they see their customers jumping ship to GO-JEK.
It really depends on how serious GO-JEK is taking the Singapore market.
So yeah, go download the app via carousell first.
You can thank us later 😉
