Now, even though Grab is the major player for Private-Hire Car services in Singapore, it is really still a newbie in the food-delivery business, dominated by Deliveroo and Foodpanda.
With that, there’s little to no wonder why they’ve been aggressively offering awesome promo codes for its food-delivery business, GrabFood.
Like this:
If you can’t see the image, from 14 – 20 Jan, get $15 OFF when you spend a minimum of $30!
Simply input promo code: JUICY15
On top of that, GrabFood offers “$1 Deals” that change from week to week as well as “Try Me Free” deals that waives delivery charges from selected merchants.
Fancy some fried chicken?Order a Popeyes Chicken Combo (2pcs) with FREE delivery.* All for only $1. Orders start from 2pm daily. While stocks last!*Promo valid from 14-20 Jan 2019, for both new and existing users. Quantities refresh daily. Other T&Cs apply.
Posted by GrabFood on Sunday, 13 January 2019
Just a quick note though, their $1 deals do run out pretty fast as they are on a while-stocks-last basis.
Let’s hope their promo code honeymoon period is here to stay for some time.
Ahem Grab, here’s looking at you kid.
GrabFood Reviews Getting Better
If you’re like us, you might have been monitoring GrabFood for quite a while because food delivery services are bae.
Apparently, according to my colleague, when GrabFood was just implemented after the demise of Uber Eats (RIP, Uber), the reviews in Google Play Store were so bad that their average rating was about 2+ stars out of 5 stars: not exactly an app that’s going to dominate – or at least compete in – the food delivery industry in Singapore.
Back then, if my colleague’s memory serves him well, the complaints were mainly riders MIA-ing, interface issues and late delivery.
But now?
Take a look.
It has an average of four stars, and you can see the “scars” it had in the past as there were quite a number of 1-star reviews.
On average, according to the team in charge of our app, any app that has a review of above 4 stars is doing okay; anything below that and they should either be looking to just quit altogether or go back to the drawing board.
(BTW our app has 4.5 stars as of now ;))
So if you’re one who’s given up hope on GrabFood during its initial launch, now is the best-est time to try it again.
