All iPhone users, you’re going to get an additional S$3 off your Uber rides this week! Now, you don’t have to whip out any form of cash when you make your payment because your phone is all you’ll need to take a ride!
In celebration of this new mode of payment, Uber has launched their latest promotion where you’ll be able to get S$3 off your rides when you pay with Apple Pay! Since Apple Pay is easy, secure, and private, you can now ride with utmost confidence.
Best part? You can still use Uber promo codes when you pay using your Apple Pay!
From 11-25 November 2016 and limited to the first 100,000 riders, you can enjoy S$3 off your Uber rides when you key in APPLEPAYSG when you book your Uber rides!
Some FAQs you should take note of before using Apple Pay:
1. How do I add a card to Apple Pay?
Go to your Wallet app on your iPhone and add your credit card.
2. How do I add Apple Pay as a payment method in the Uber app?
Open the Uber app > Settings > Profiles > Personal > Default Payment. Apple Pay should show up as one of your payment options. Click on it until a check mark appears.
3. Whom do I contact if there is a dispute/issue/problem – Apple or Uber?
For all issues about your Uber ride, or connecting your Apple Pay feature to your Uber app, you can contact Uber through “HELP” in your app.
For issues related to Apple Pay (e.g. setting up your Apple Pay account, payment errors between your credit card on file and Apple Pay), please contact Apple.
4. Why does my ride receipt show a credit card number that I don’t recognise, that is different from the one I entered?
Apple Pay has an additional security feature that masks the user’s credit card number. The number that appears on your ride receipt is a masked number, not your actual credit card number.
Have fun riding this week!
