Do you have a favourite Sanrio character?
No, not the mouthless kitty. Maybe Cinnamoroll?
Or Pom Pom Purin?
Well, if you’re fans of any of them, then you’re going to love this: you can get them to travel with you wherever you go.
EZ-Link Releases New Sanrio Card For The New Year
Five days ago, EZ-Link pulled a KFC and uploaded this video teaser on their Facebook Page.
They asked Singaporeans to anticipate something exciting for the new year.
And hinted that it has something to do with Chinese New Year and Sanrio characters.
Well, it might not be Chinese New Year but they’ve released the cards for sale.
Here are the details:
From today onwards, the cards will be available progressively at all 7-Eleven outlets islandwide.
And the best part? It’s marginally cheaper than your usual new EZ-Link cards that cost $12.
This Chinese New Year Sanrio card will only cost you $10 per card and has a load value of 5 bucks.
And People Are Already Getting Them
The best part about my job, methinks, is combing through the comments section.
Some netizens have already gotten their hands on a card (or cards) of their own.
Although one person did ask prospective buyers to check the goods carefully before taking one home.
And there’s some doing some reselling on the side already.
For Those Who Are Interested:
Based on the comments seen on the post so far, 7-Elevens which carries the Sanrio card includes:
- Boat Quay Canton Street 7-Eleven
- Delfi Orchard 7-Eleven
- Clementi 7-Eleven
- Promenade MRT Station 7-Eleven
- Khatib MRT Station 7-Eleven
But as always, better be fast, yeah?
Because judging by online sentiments, this EZ-Link card is probably going to sell like hotcakes.
McDonald’s hotcakes.
And we all know how fast McDonald’s go out of stock.
In Other News, Hello Kitty EZ-Charms Still Up For Grabs
Hello Kitty isn’t featured on the Sanrio card this time, as some of you might’ve figured out.
However, if you’re in love with the mouthless kitty and couldn’t get your hands on Hello Kitty EZ-Charm the previous time it was available, now’s your chance to do so liao.
According to EZ-Link, the popular Hello Kitty EZ-Charms will be selling at the Popular Bookstores at the following locations:
- NEX Mall
- Tampines Mall
- Toa Payoh HDB Hub
- Westgate
- UrbanWrite Northpoint City (South Wing)
- And United Square
You’re welcome! 😉
