This Chinese New Year, Street 50 Restaurant & Bar at Bat Hotel Singapore has decided to up the ante by coming up with the latest auspicious home-style festive delicacies to celebrate the Year of the Rooster!

And well, if you do not belong to the Rooster Zodiac, not to fret as they also have dishes representing the other 12 Chinese zodiac animal signs in their buffets from 27 to 30 January 2016

Some of the special dishes include the Wolfberry Drunken Herbal Chicken (狗)杞醉鸡 which represents the Dog Zodiac. The chicken is prepared using Chinese herbs like Dang Gui, and topped with a generous sprinkling of wolfberries to give it a nutritional touch. When bitten into, the chicken emits a sweet and tender finish from the herbs used and is absolutely addictive.

Else, you can also indulge in the Deep Fried Yam with Crabmeat and Pearl Mushroom 珍 (猪)菇伴酥脆蟹肉芋头 which represent the Pig Zodiac. The platter is a combination of yam and crab meat that has been deep-fried to perfection, exuding a heartening crunch with every bite.

What’s celebrating Chinese New Year without Yu Sheng too?

Even the Yusheng dish at Street 50 is specially created to have the ‘dragonbird’ significance with the heavenly combination of the luxurious lobster meat and the nourishing goodness of bird nest in the Lobster Yusheng with Bird Nest (龙虾燕窝鱼生).

There are 2 serving sizes: Regular $38++ (up to 4 pax) and Large $68++ (8 to 10 Pax) – pretty worth it for a Yusheng with both delicacies like lobsters and bird nest, huh?
