Pray tell me: What do you usually do in IKEA?

For most of us, we go there for the food: the highly raved restaurant is so popular, there’s always a queue. Finding a seat an any time of the day is a challenge; and unlike A&W, the queues have been there for years.

And like McDonald’s, they’re always coming out with new items, so every visit is a different experience unless you have your meal there daily.

For some of us, we go there for a jalan-jalan that’s air-conditioned—the elderly might like to jalan jalan in parks, but some of us like to jalan jalan in an air-conditioned urban jungle without salespeople breathing down our neck.

And for a few of us, we’re there to buy furniture. Weird, but true.

Anyways, if you’re like most of us, then here’s the goody news: there’s going to be a buffet in the last two weeks of May in conjunction with Ramadhan.

Celebrate Hari Raya at IKEA

So, here’s what’s happening in IKEA for Hari Raya celebrations: they’re selling some furniture or whatever at a discount that I don’t care.

But of course, other than furniture, their celebration comprises food as well, and that’s when I care.

And the deals are so lit, you’d love IKEA even more from now on.

Food Deals

6 May 2019 to 4 June 2019

From 6 May 2019, you get to enjoy Nasi Kunyit Chicken Set at only $5 at both the IKEA restaurants, while stocks last.

Last I checked, this might be a new item so if you’re a fan of IKEA food, you can’t miss this. This most likely take over their nasi lemak menu, which looks delish:

29 April 2019 to 4 June 2019

This is starting tomorrow, so be prepared: IKEA will be selling Festive Cakes in 3 flavours – ondeh-ondeh, pulut hitam and D24 durian cendol! IKEA FAMILY members are entitled to special member prices on the cakes.

Now, do note that this is available at Swedish Food Market and not at the restaurant; it’s that small market you see near the checkout area. If you’ve not been there, you’re really missing out, my friend.

21 May 2019 to 24 May 2019  & 27 May 2019 to 31 May 2019

Now, this is what you should be looking at.

IKEA Tampines will be holding its Buffet Istimewa. From 7pm  – 9.30pm, adults can eat all they want for $24.90, while children between 5-12 eat for $12.90.

And read this aloud: kids aged 4 and under eat for free!

Do note that there are limited seatings per day, though I guess you’ve already known that.

And remember, it’s only for the Tampines outlet.

I don’t know about you, but I guess finding a seat is going to be as difficult as getting a ticket for Avengers: Endgame.
