Don’t Say Bojio: Jetstar Giving $0^ Fares To BKK, Taipei & More (Book Between 22-24 Mar)

Pardon me.

But I honestly thought there was a f%$%^$& typo when I saw the title.

I mean how can fares be $0 and what the hell is that carrot doing alongside the 0.

But my indignation very quickly gave way to shame and utter embarrassment.

For I soon found out that this punctuation ^ isn’t “carrot” for which I have been led to believe.

It’s freaking called a “Caret” as this Buzzfeed article would have it.

So carrot, potato, durian or what not, this article as with life and my heart, will go on.

Weekend FREE^ Fare Frenzy

If I were a rabbit, I would honestly be stoked though.

I mean there’s now a carrot caret alongside the word “FREE”.

I guess this is what dangling a caret carrot means.

Now, here’s a video from the piping fresh promotion-oven that Jetstar is.

If you’ve watched the video, you would know that Jetstar is apparently offering $0^ fares to Bangkok, Phuket, Taipei and even Darwin and more, if you book from 22 – 24 Mar 2019.

To be upfront though, and in case you decide to flame us for not being clear, customers are expected to pay some fees and taxes.

Good deal still, no?

Here are some important things to note for this promotion:

  • Carry-on baggage limits, including size restrictions, will be strictly applied. Passengers with more than the applicable carry-on baggage allowance will need to check in baggage, and charges will apply.
  • Before you book your flight, and before you travel, please visit their travel advice page.
  • Prices quoted are in Singapore dollars. Fares quoted are for one way and do not include taxes. A booking and service fee of $5 – $10 per passenger, per flight will apply.
  • Most fares are non-refundable. Limited changes are permitted, charges apply. See Fare rules for more information. All travel on Jetstar is subject to the Jetstar Conditions of Carriage. Other conditions apply.

Please don’t blame the messenger for providing so many hyperlinks.

It’s like that too on Jetstar’s page for the promotion.

One caveat though.

A little bit of smarts and a bit of digging around tells me that the promotion is available for various destinations within a specific period of time.

Say Bangkok between 23 Apr 19 to 26 Oct 19 or Darwin between 10 May 19 to 26 Mar 20.

That said and all in all, it’s still a darned good deal if you can squeeze out the time or tweak your schedules to accommodate the specific destinations and time-frames.
