Don’t Say Bojio: McDonald’s S’pore Having My Melody Holder From 6 Dec

It’s Monday, and it’s arguably the worst day of the week. After all, there’s a reason why the term ‘Monday Blues’ exists:

It sucks so bad you wanna turn blue.

But there’s no helping it; Monday’s just part and parcel of life, and to totally disregard it would be a task akin to disregarding the very notion of life itself.

Distinctly impossible.

However, there are ways to distract yourself from it. Working furiously on your overdue assignment, for example, is one. Listening to happy, uplifting music that’s like the opposite of your mood is another.

And of course, they say that the best way to fight against something is to give it a dose of its own medicine, so Big Bang’s Blue is definitely worth a mention.

Yet, even so, your Monday blues are not totally cured. And for good reason too, because it’s such a bitch.

If that’s the case for you, how about this:

No, I’m not kidding. McDonald’s collaborations with the cute cats are back…

And this time the prizes are da bombz.

My Melody

Lest you’re unaware, My Melody (also affectionately known as My Melo), Hello Kitty’s best friend, is a white rabbit from the Japanese characterization company Sanrio.

Partly based on Little Red Riding Hood, the cute mascot is a very honest, good-natured girl with a preference for almond pound cake. She was born on 18 January in the forest of Mariland, in London, England, the home to many of her friends.

But enough of the description; as it is, the My Melody Holder has been making its rounds in Japan, where it was (unsurprisingly) well-received to a T. And really, it’s only a matter of time before Singapore gets its hands on the merchandise, and I’m not disappointed.

With a scheduled release for 6 December, the cute apparel will be on offer for just $6.90 with any purchase.

And needless to say; it has been attracting a whole load of attention.

So much, in fact, that one put in a rather special request.

Incidentally, some also asked for another popular Japanese item to be shipped in.

Which one offered a pic of, to much delight.
