Me: What do you get when you add abalones, Ovaltine, Colgate and Chicken in a Biskit together?
Editor: Is this another lame joke of yours and what’s the Link between all of them?
Me: That’s right! That’s exactly the Link! No wonder you are my editor and I the lowly writer.
Editor: No I’m sorry, I still don’t get it…
Me: Nuff said-let me write in peace will you.
Editor: Okay, yes Boss.
NTUC FairPrice 1-For-1 Promo On Abalone, Tidbits & More till 27 Feb
It’s post-CNY and everyone is feeling just that tad bit mehh about life, themselves and their overnight paunch.
But all’s not lost and we at Goody Feed know what can help a Debbie Downer like yourself recover from your post-festive blues.
In fact you can liken us at Goody Feed to self-help gurus.
For all you have to do is download our app and read our daily dose of bite-sized news for information, laughs and general catharsis.
I’ve digressed indeed, but if you’ve ever heard of “good things must wait,” this must have been penned for the current NTUC FairPrice 1-For-1 Promo that runs till 27 February 2019, which is next Wednesday.
The “BUY 1 GET 1 FREE” is complimented by an equally impressive “BIG SAVINGS FOR YOU” as if they were trying to make a point here.
My point is, damn that’s a huge picture with such a small font, isn’t it.
Fret not though, you can tap here to refer to the large-sized source file for better clarity.
But just before that, like a curator of fine 1-FOR-1 deals, I’ll just do you a favour and pick out some of my favourite.
New Moon South Africa Abalone
Price: $45.80
Savings: $45.80
Why I like it: This is the most expensive thing in the 1-For-1 Sale, so its a must to be on this list. Not to mention that the colour is damn huat and there’s a free gift with it. Yes, this is the only item that comes with a free gift.
It’s this fortune cat worth $28.80.
So cute.
Frozen goods (Mermaid Frozen Wild Sea Cucumber and Porkee Frozen Spare Rib)
Price: $9.80 & $5.10
Savings: $9.80 & $5.10
Why I like it: Firstly, frozen perishable goods are quite expensive generally and once purchased it’s rumored they can be kept for 3, 632 years or until climate change destroys our world, whichever comes first. In short, purchasing them won’t go wrong.
Secondly, golly gee, what fun their names are. I mean “mermaid” for seafood and “porkee” for pork?!
How simultaneously unoriginal and yet refreshingly pointed they are.
Moreover, “wild” sea cucumber reminds me of this:
Read : “Wild” Pokemon
But wait a minute, this version of the game’s called “Moon” which reminds me of the preceding “New Moon” abalone, which means that those African abalones are also Pokemon-
-I’m pretty sure I’m trippin’ on my Kopi or my prata breakfast really badly right now.
The Rest
Well, since I’ve attained my desired word count, just so you know some other items on sale include:
- FairPrice Garlic Bread
- Ovaltine Cookies
- Nabisco Chicken in a Biskit
- Colagate Toothpaste
- SunCoast Gold Unsweetened Macadamia Milk
- Liption bottled Tea
You can refer to the source image for the rest of the rest.
Also do note that according to the TNCs, each customer is limited to purchasing a maximum of “4 units per product per customer unless otherwise stated”.
Since I did not state otherwise, it applies to abalone and frozen good as well.
Editor: Eh W, why must you write the “savings” down when it’s clear that in a 1-FOR-1 promo your savings equals the cost of goods purchased?
Me: Yah, but you called me “Boss” just now right?
