Singapore Airlines is the pride and joy of Singaporeans.
Since its inception in 1972, Singapore Airlines has made taken many right steps to become ranked the number 1 airline in the world. It offers a luxurious selection of destinations and has a top-notch service crew.
The only misstep that Singapore Airlines took is not being part of Crazy Rich Asians. Imagine the publicity! #AsianPride
Sadly, quality comes with quantity in this case. The higher the standards, the higher the price. Not everyone can afford to fly Singapore Airlines all the time.
Actually, they should give a discount to Singaporeans, right? So that every Singaporean can have the Singaporean Airlines experience. Maybe a one-time discount code. (I take full credit for this idea should it come into play)
Jokes aside.
I bring good news for Mastercard Holders.
Singapore Airlines is having a discount for many of its destinations. To look at the whole list, you can simply click here.
The discount starts today (24 May 2019) and ends 16 June 2019. The tickets for sale are for the travel period of 1 September 2019 to 31 March 2020.
So you can start planning your next holiday already!
Here are some ideas on where you can go!
Johannesburg
Ticket Price: $648
Forget the typical tourist destination, why don’t you take a chance and visit the capital of South Africa! It has a good mix of bright and shiny malls, beaches and landscape. Even better, there are safari tours that you can go to! With land aplenty, you can enter preservation parks and get up close and personal with the animals.
For history buffs, you can also visit the Mandela House to visit the former residence of the historic leader.
Osaka
Price: $548
Well, you can never really go wrong with Japan. It has good food, fantastic customer service, clean roads and a good transport system.
What you can do is to fly to the cheapest destination in Japan and then take the Shinkansen (Japanese bullet train) to the other parts of Japan in a round trip. That way, you get to save money and see the rest of Japan.
You can visit famous shopping districts like Dontonbori and dine at various eateries! The options are endless.
In Japan, you are never far from the freshest sushi or warm bowl of ramen goodness. The photo below is Ichiran Ramen. Affordable and sumptuous.
If you are one who is down for the thrills, you can also visit Universal Studios Japan and scare yourself a little.
For the Harry Potter fans out there, you can transport yourself to Hogsmeade Village for a magical time.
Enjoy!
