Generally, I make it a rule to stay away from Starbucks even though I’m pretty much a coffee addict. Yes, addict with a capital A.
It’s not because they taste absolutely disgusting. It’s because they’re so damn addictive. If I had my way, Starbucks should be listed as M18 instead of being available to students because they’re as bad as smoking.
Not only are they nice, and their new concoctions typically do not disappoint (remember Matcha expresso?), they’re expensive too. You can get a cup of Kopi Peng Siew Dai at $1.30, but get a similar drink from Starbucks and it’ll set you back by at least 6 bucks.
