Astons Specialities is reputable for a number of things:
- Sumptuous main courses
- Generous servings of sides
- Overall affordability
But what many people (including me) fail to realise is that the chain is pretty under-rated in one aspect:
Churning out fan favourites.
A while ago, they surprised us with their Christmas special Turkey Piccata, which proved a crisp, wonderful treat.
Well, guess what? They’ve done it again, this time with honest to goodness Truffle Chips that’s not mentioned in their social media accounts.
And of course, there’s the outlet-exclusive Wagyu burger, but I’ll get to that in a jiffy.
Truffle Chips
If you’ve always had a liking for truffle chips, casual or expensive, you’re going to like this.
Astons, the restaurant chain that seems to be birthing more & more franchises every single year, has released its own rendition of Truffle Chips, and my word…
It looks bomb af.
According to Astons, the chips are sprinkled with “real scrumptious truffle mushroom zest and parmesan cheese”.
And seeing how wicked the visuals look, we’re not doubting it when they’re proclaiming the chips to be the “most addictive and savoury-tasting crispy chips”.
Best thing? It comes in at only $5.90, a perfect fit between you and your friend, lover, best friend, partner, dog, cat, hamster or rabbit called Truffle.
Incidentally, here’s what our office has to say about Astons newest offering.
Boss: Wah! Not bad ah, can write about it!
J: Wowz. But is it cheap though? Cos chip. Cheap. Geddit?
Dream: Is this a joke? You know my rabbit’s called Truffle right?
Boonz: Hmmm mmm mmmmm mmmm
And let’s not forget about their Wagyu burger
Because, c’mon; who doesn’t love wagyu beef?
And indeed, if you’ve been a fan of the atas beef, you would be glad to know that Astons @ Jcube has started marketing these bad boys. And considering how you’re getting a damn wagyu burger with fries at $15.90…
Consider me sold.
Take note, however, that it’s an outlet-exclusive menu item. So for all the Eastsiders out there, I’m sorry to say that you have to make your way down to the ‘rural’ West if you want a piece of that wagyu ass.
But anyway…
What’re you waiting for?
If you’re craving some tasty yet affordable truffle chips, you know where to go. For the wagyu lovers it’s a little more tricky, but then again it’s not every day you get to eat a beast wagyu burger at Astons.
So take down the details, cos you know you want it.
Truffle Chips are found in JCube so we’re not certain if they’re available at all Astons outlets. Do tell us if you see it elsewhere!
Wagyu burger is available only at their Jcube outlet.
Address: #03-18 JCUBE, 2 Jurong East Central 1, Singapore 609731
