Don’t Say Bojio: McDonald’s Now Has Doraemon Happy Meal Toys Till 3 Sept

I’m sure most of us have spent our childhood watching this little blue cat robot and daydreaming that one day, Doraemon would appear through his Anywhere Door and take us along on his adventures.

What if I told you… Doraemon was turning 50 this year?

Feelinf old yet?

Don’t worry, there’s now a chance for you to revisit your childhood memories and relive the joy of Doraemon, thanks to McDonald’s. It might even help you feel young again.

Doraemon Toys Now Available

In conjunction with Doraemon’s 50th birthday this year, suuuuper cute toys of the timeless robot will be available at Mc Donald’s with a purchase of a Happy Meal.

These Doraemon toys are modelled after and inspired by some of his famous inventions, such as the Anywhere Door and Time Machine, which is bound to bring out nostalgia for adults and also interest children.

Starting from 6 August to 3 September, two toys will be available every week if you purchase a Happy Meal within the period specified for each toy.

Doraemon’s Gadgets

Of the eight toys available for grabs, The Wind Power! Turbine Tower and Repellent Magnet! Doraemon and Mii chan toys will kick off the promotional period, starting from 6 August until 12 August.

Next, Doraemon’s iconic Copter Cogs! The Hopter and Amazing Reflection! Anywhere Door will be available from 13 August to 19 August.

From 20 August to 26 August, Gears Swirl! Time Machine and the Metal Detector! Doraemon Smile will be available.

And lastly, the Pressure Bellow! Air Cannon and the Magnetic Doodle! Doraemon Drawing Board will be available from 27 August until 3 September.

Who said Happy Meals are for children only? It’s for those of us who were once children too!

Hopefully this doesn’t turn into another Hello Kitty situation where people queued just for the toys until dawn, though – there are still social distancing rules to follow.
