Well, maybe he can chair a task force for that?

Select Group Powers Budget Meal Initiative

Local ready-to-eat food company Select Group provides the budget meals for the vending machines. The company partnered with government agencies to make affordable dining accessible around the clock.

This Punggol launch follows a similar initiative in March 2025. The Southwest Community Development Council worked with Select Group to introduce caring budget meal vending machines. These machines also sell meals for up to $3, offering 24-hour dining options.

Gan Kim Yong participated in that earlier launch when he was still MP for Chua Chu Kang GRC. He joined Southwest District Mayor Low Yen Ling to unveil the Southwest caring budget meal program.
