Imagine that feeling of relief after a long day at 5:00 p.m. You are going to take a shower and refresh yourself.
You let your guard down, turn the tap on and relish the touch of comforting warm water against your skin washing away the grime of the day.
This is the life.

You open your eyes….. NOT! There in the distance, you see a bird.. a plane.. no, a drone!
And it’s hovering near your window. Near enough to see you.
Creeped out? Yes.
Sadly, this really happened to Ms Amelia Yeo who spotted a drone while she was showering one evening.
Drones.
One of the great tech toys of today, drones allow us to take beautiful aerial shots and show off the luxury in our lives to our friends.
These mini helicopters can be easily bought from as low as $20.
They can also be used to do cool things like that through we highly suggest that you don’t try it:
Also, drones.
One of the latest tool to enable one to commit a crime.

Miss Yeo was enjoying her shower when she spotted a drone hovering outside the window of her toilet in her Pasir Ris apartment on the 17th floor.
It was approximately 50 to 100 metres away from her window and flying at a ‘relatively slow speed’.
She was shocked and alarmed as she never thought that anyone could look into her house that is relatively high up.
Decided To Take Actions
Afraid that someone was filming her, Ms Yeo decided to make a police report and shared her ordeal on Facebook to warn fellow residents.
According to her post, this act is illegal for Outrage of Modesty and is a breach of no-fly zone laws (Pasir Ris is a no-fly zone).

The case is currently under investigation and the perpetrator is yet to be found.
Tools Are Fine, People Are Not
It is concerning to see how people are misusing inventions made to advance humanity.
Can people like that please stop ruining things for us?
Just look at the PMD and the bike-sharing scene in Singapore.
Soon you will not be able to fly drones higher than 10m.

For those staying in high rise buildings, do take Ms Yeo’s warning seriously and protect yourselves. Remember to close your windows when showering even if you live in a high rise building. Technology has changed the way we live for better and for worse.
TLDR: Shut your windows when bathing.
And TLDR: Do not misuse your drones/ or any other form of technology for that matter.
