If you were anywhere on TikTok the past couple of months, you’ve probably come across videos of the pistachio chocolate bar from Fix Dessert Chocolatier, now more affectionately known by the masses as the viral Dubai pistachio chocolate bar.

Here’s everything you need to know about it.

What Exactly is the Viral Dubai Pistachio Chocolate Bar?

Prefer to watch a video about this instead? Here you go:

For starters, the viral Dubai pistachio chocolate bar is a chocolate bar from Fix Dessert Chocolatier, a chocolatier based in Dubai.

If you’re a pistachio lover, the viral chocolate bar is probably right up your alley. Known officially as the “Can’t Get Knafeh of It” flavoured bar, the milk chocolate bar contains crispy knafeh mixed with pistachio and tahini paste.

Close your mouth lah… Stop salivating all over the table.

The full menu also includes milk chocolate bars filled with chewy fudge brownies with cereal or salted caramel pretzels.

There’s something for everyone; even the most picky eater out there.

How the Viral Dubai Pistachio Chocolate Bar was Invented

With every amazing product always comes an unexpected origin story. And you can bet that the story behind the viral Dubai chocolate bar isn’t something you would have foreseen at all.

The viral Dubai pistachio chocolate bar was created by a 38-year-old woman from Fix Dessert Chocolatier who was inspired by her pregnancy cravings.

We’re just glad she was craving for pistachio-filled bars. Imagine if a Singaporean made a chocolate bar inspired by pregnancy cravings, and decided to fill milk chocolate bars with char siew.

These handmade bars subsequently became viral after a TikTok food influencer Maria Vehera posted a video of herself trying out the viral Dubai pistachio chocolate bar. Since then, the pistachio chocolate bar has now amassed a huge army of fans, with many more TikTok creators posting their own videos trying out the chocolate bar or even attempting to recreate it at home.

Where You Can Get the Viral Dubai Pistachio Chocolate Bar

You might be thinking: “How special can a chocolate bar be?”

Well, apparently very special. So special that it can hardly be found in Singapore, and even if it can be found, the bars can cost up to a whopping $60 per bar.

It’s not that big of a surprise that the bars are so expensive in Singapore. Even in Dubai where the chocolatier is based, each 200-gram bar sells for AED 68.25 (USD 18.58). Further, the chocolate bars are only available in Dubai through the food delivery service Deliveroo, where orders open at 2 pm and 5 pm daily — it’s so scarce, even those in Dubai have to camp on Deliveroo for the bars, the same way Singaporeans camp on Ticketmaster for concert tickets.

However, if you’re a Singaporean and would like to get your hands on one of these chocolate bars, there are options available, although whoever you’re buying the bars from is unlikely to be an authorised reseller for Fix Dessert Chocolatier.

Don’t say we buey brother — we’re not going to gatekeep the local spots selling the viral Dubai pistachio chocolate bars.

For one, you can get the viral chocolate bar from the SGFR Store which is selling the bars for $59 each, or the Made In Vibe store which is selling the bars for $39.90 each.

And as always, when all else fails, you can always go hunting for the viral chocolate bars on Carousell or make your own following some TikTok recipes.

Just be prepared to spend quite a bomb on these chocolate bars in Singapore lah. Perhaps your GST vouchers could come in handy here — although we don’t recommend spending that money on chocolate bars, you do you.
