Prior Artbox events may have been nothing short of spectacular (and utterly gastronomic), but there’s just one tiny flaw about them:
They were gone too soon.
Indeed, each rendition had a rough life expectancy, and it was simply too short for the masses of Singapore to truly appreciate it.
“Add in the sheer crowds and seriously, what do you expect us to try?” ranted one particular pissedgurl05.
But you know what they say; nothing’s perfect.
Or is that truly the case after all?
Eatbox S’pore is Back with a Creative Food Hall That Features 20 Booths & 4 Kiosks
It seems that Artbox Singapore’s creative food concept is back, and this time it’s taking on a more…
Permanent approach.
That’s right folks; Eatbox is returning this year with its very own permanent location! Brought to you by Invade, the organisers of the wildly popular Artbox Singapore and Shilin Night Market, the creative food hall spanning 9,500 square feet (sqft) will take over Tekka Place come September 2021.
Featuring crowd favourites from Artbox Singapore as well as new, exciting food stalls, Eatbox gives a traditional dining hall a unique and modern twist.
The creative food hall will feature 20 booths and 4 kiosks with international cuisines and fusion fare. Some F&B vendors will also be introducing some exciting new-to-market items featuring flavours from around the region with local twists.
These include Satay Ummi’s Nasi Lemak, Butcher The Burger Bar’s Butcher Truffle Eggstarter, as well as Okinawa Onigiri’s freshly made Onigiri-Sandwich. Also, halal Mookata options will also be up on offer.
Aside from all the delicious choices, there are various interactive murals that will be perfect for the ‘Gram. These murals are created in collaboration with a roster of local artists. They will also be regularly refreshed every 6 to 8 months.
The first series features the talents of Hariz (@haha.hariz) conveying the importance of celebrating food as an integral part of the Singaporean culture. Additionally, Ella’s (@designerinsingapore) vision of a fun-filled whimsical wonderland will be featured as well. Curiouser and curiouser.
In addition, Invade has teamed up with industry experts and partners to enhance the Eatbox experience and empower local businesses. These partners include Temasek Polytechnic’s Innovation and Entrepreneurship Programme, MC Payment, and SEED Ventures, who will work with vendors to provide funding opportunities, resources and contactless payment options to improve and grow their businesses.
Alongside Eatbox, Invade will also be creating two additional mainstays, featuring a thematic Experience Centre of over 6,000 sqft and retail and recreational content space of over 4,300 sqft.
In conclusion? There’s so much to eat, see and do at Eatbox. So get ready to head down to Tekka Place this September!
Don’t say bo jio ah!
