A netizen who witnessed the incident shared details on Xiaohongshu, describing the scene as they watched from a distance. The witness wrote that they saw people quarreling near the security check and quickly recognised Edison as one of the individuals involved.

“This is a celebrity I really really liked when I was younger, and had to run into him during this awkward moment. He was shoved by the person behind him, they got into an argument, and the police were even called in,” the netizen explained.

Video footage from the scene showed Chen looking visibly upset with his hands tucked in his pockets. The Canadian-born actor remained silent throughout the exchange while standing next to a woman who spoke with the authorities on his behalf.

When Chen politely asked to finish collecting his belongings first, a flight attendant intervened and allowed the other passenger to disembark first, citing the passenger’s top-tier Diamond status.

Chen, who reportedly held the same Diamond status, became confused by the exchange. The situation escalated when Chen allegedly threatened to get the flight attendant fired over the disagreement about disembarkation procedures.
