Neighbour Stopped Seeing Mdm Loh Since Jan 2019
According to a resident who spoke to The Straits Times on Wednesday (25 Nov), she had not seen Mdm Loh since she returned from a trip in January last year (2019).
And the next month, a weird smell wafted into the hallway.
However, the smell was gone weeks later when she went on, and returned, from another overseas trip.
House Seemingly Abandoned
Other than not seeing Mdm Loh since that time period, letters also began piling up at her door.
Court documents involving her and the condominium’s management were also within the pile of correspondence to her.
The resident also claims that the management of the condominium was notified about Mdm Loh’s disappearance but nothing was done.
Police Alerted In Oct 2020
It was only until October this year that the police were finally alerted to Mdm Loh’s disappearance.
Mr Lim Biow Chuan, MP of Mountbatten, was told about Mdm Loh disappearing for more than a year and, in turn, he alerted the police to the incident.

It was reported that in early Nov 2020, police officers turned up at the condominium and went to Mdm Loh’s door.
However, it was only on 23 Nov that the police officers broke into the unit together with staff from the management of the condo.
According to a police spokesperson, they discovered the remains believed to be that of a human and a dog within the home.
It was added that they do not suspect foul play.
Condo’s Management Response
Apparently, on 23 Nov 2020, the condo management had called the police.

According to the spokesperson for the management, they had alerted the police immediately after having concerns about one of the residents living at The Shore Residences.
It wasn’t known, however, why they had not taken action earlier about the disappearance of Mdm Loh.
Investigations into the case are ongoing.
