What do you get when you mix the genes of a famous actor and a supermodel?
Your breath taken away.
Netizens Simping Over Ella Yam
On 18 December 2022, Hong Kong actor Simon Yam’s daughter saw many fawning over her after she posted a birthday post on Instagram.
Dressed in a feisty bright red mini dress and knee-high glossy black boots, she flaunted her slender and alluring figure, shooting a Cupid’s arrow at netizens.
Captioned: “early birthday with my lovesss”, the post was a collection of photos from her early birthday celebration with her friends.
Showered with “happy birthday” messages, she was also complimented for being “lovely” and a “red beauty,” with many saying, “red is (her) colour.”

More about Ella
As the daughter of an actor dad and a supermodel mum, she’s definitely got the good genes.
Standing 1.8m tall, she began her modelling career at only 14, becoming the youngest model ever to grace the cover of Cosmopolitan Hong Kong.
Yes, she was 1.8m. At 14.
Thanks for making us insecure.
Besides Cosmopolitan Hong Kong, she has also made the front page of other popular magazines, namely Vogue Hong Kong and Vogue Taiwan.
When she began her modelling career, this was what her supportive mother, Qi Qi, had to say:

Translation: Despite disliking dressing up and having her photographs taken, this girl has finally tried something new and unfamiliar. Moreover, this is the youngest cover girl in 35 years of Cosmopolitan history, well done
Evidently, Qi Qi couldn’t be prouder of her daughter.
Unfortunately, that’s not what her father had to say.
In 2019, Yam said he would be fine if she modelled once in a while “for fun” but would disapprove if she took it full-time.
Because showbiz often required one to stay up late into the night, Yam wasn’t keen on having her daughter join modelling or acting.
“I hope that she can spend more time with me,” said the actor.
Four years since then, she’s still in the modelling industry and successful as ever.
