Lest you’ve been living under a cave with no Wifi or data, you would surely be acquainted with this viral video that has been making its rounds on the Internet:

Posted by All Singapore Stuff on Thursday, 8 August 2019
A large group of people could be seen fighting in the video, with the location believed to be Central Mall near Clarke Quay.
And while it’s unclear what the reason behind the fight was, the Facebook caption accompanying the video seems to suggest that it started over a girl.
“Drink already dun anyhow touch touch other people’s char bo lah..wait later end up in big fight like this in central mall!” the caption reads.
Whether it’s genuinely the case, however, has yet to be clarified. Though one thing’s for certain; more than 10 people were involved in the fight…
And 10 men were arrested for the suspected involvement in a case of ‘rioting’.
Everything About The Fight Outside Central Mall On National Day
According to Mothership, the fight took place outside Central Mall along 5 Magazine Road, on 9 August at around 3:45 a.m.
The identities of the men were eventually ascertained through ground enquiries, as well as CCTV footage.
Over the past three days, 10 men aged between 19 and 30 were arrested, for their suspected involvement in a case of rioting.
And charges were pressed.
According to reports, four men, aged between 20 and 30, will be charged on Tuesday, 13 August, with rioting.
Should anyone be convicted under the offence of rioting, they will be duly punished with an imprisonment term of up to seven years, as well as caning.
As for the remaining six men, investigations are currently still ongoing.
If there’s any update on the case, we’ll be sure to update it here.
Viral
The original Facebook video, which was published by local media page All Singapore Stuff, has since garnered 83K and well over 600 shares.
Netizens who commented have also voiced their disapproval at the matter, with some dishing out advice for those involved.
Even the cameraman was in for a lecture, by the way.
Also, some Netizens speculated on the reason behind it all.
While others compared the riots here to the one over in Hong Kong.
Whatever the case is, however…
Fighting probably isn’t the right thing to do here.
As my friend would say:
“Let’s talk it out like men, over a cup of teh.”
The Teh Teh way, I call it.
