hile everyone was shopping for Christmas gifts and preparing for the festive season, a 21-year-old male driver of a showy McLaren was arrested along Lorong 101 Changi in Joo Chiat on Monday night (12 Dec).
Lambo Tried to Evade Roadblock
The Police have confirmed with the media that a roadblock was being conducted along Lorong 101 Changi that night, where the young sports car driver tried to evade it. He was also found to be driving without a licence. Police investigations are still ongoing at the moment.
According to sources, the said vehicle is a McLaren 12C Spider – a convertible version of the MP4-12C with a retractable hardtop. It is also said to have a power of 626 horsepower, and can accelerate from zero to 100 kilometres per hour in three seconds.

Alleged Son of Local Radio DJ Shaik
A clip posted on the Facebook page “Best Viral Videos” which has since gone viral shows a narrator recording the scene. It was mentioned that the driver appears to be the son of local radio DJ Shaik, although his identity has yet to be confirmed.
Well, we definitely hope it’s not him taking the car out for a joyride while his father is overseas like the post alleged. Otherwise, it’s going to be a big Christmas present for his father when he is back.
