Everything You Need to Know About the Recent Yishun Attack

A knife attack happened in Yishun recently. What’s that? I have to be more specific?

A knife attack happened in Yishun, on 2 April 2017, Sunday. Yeah, Yishun again. So many things happened in Yishun lately it’s getting less and less funny to say “Yishun again”.

The police were alerted to the crime at around 7.49pm, at Block 145, Yishun Street 11. The victim, a 21-year-old man, was discovered to have been attacked by a knife, and was hospitalised shortly after. He was sent to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital, which was alerted to be on standby to receive him.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force, which had dispatched the ambulance, reported multiple injuries on the victim.

According to an eyewitness, a man was seen running off from the scene before the police arrived.

Preliminary investigations suggest the altercation was due to a long-standing dispute between the two parties involved. The attacker has not been identified as of now.

Coincidentally, on the same day, 2 April 2017, a video was posted on Twitter showing an injured man who appeared to have suffered multiple knife wounds. The video was captioned: “Don’t get into a fight if you guys don’t want this to happen to you,” leading to speculations that this video might have been taken in Singapore.

*WARNING* The following video is quite graphic. Viewer discretion is advised.

However, from the responses and comments on the video, it seems that the video was taken a while back, in Malaysia, from a separate incident that had no relation to the attack in Yishun.

As incidents like these happen more and more frequently, it is getting harder for cynics to deny that there’s anything wrong with Yishun.

Is it just coincidence? Confirmation bias? Or is Yishun really connected to the Underworld, with evil and violence leaking up into the town?

In any case, watch yourself, and keep yourself safe, regardless of where you may be.
