For those unaware, Chinese New Year is coming soon.
In less than a month’s time, to be exact.
And businesses are now busy capitalising on the occasion to come out with cute stuff for us to buy.
Because like a wise colleague once said:Â Statistic has proven that Singaporeans dig cute stuff.
After all, there’s a reason why there’s such a high demand for things like.
- Kpop boy members
- Animals
- Steven Lim’s Meow Meow videos
- We Bare Bears plushies
- ‘We Bare All’ Uncle Foundation
- Hello Kitty
…etc…
In short, it’s a formula that works.
Something that EZ-Link knows very well.
Just look at the Snorlax EZ-Link charms which they’ve released recently. They were sold out within the day it was out.
Amazing.

Speaking of CNY, Old Chang Kee Has A CNY Bazaar Going On Right Now
Not sure where to go during your weekends? While CNY is technically still pretty far away, Old Chang Kee’s been pretty busy jumping on the CNY bandwagon.
By opening up a CNY bazaar for people like you and me to eat, play and take #OOTD photos.
Looking for somewhere to explore this weekend?
How about paying a visit to Old Chang Kee HQ? They’re holding a Chinese New Year Street Fair from 4 Jan to 1 Feb 2019.
Expect nostalgic 1960s settings and bazaar games like Ring Toss or Fishing Game every Saturday and Sunday. Basically, games that your grandparents and parents used to play when Netflix and Chill wasn’t an option.
You can also explore the various wares on display, ranging from Old Chang Kee’s iconic snacks, sauces or eat Curry Times’ Signature Dry Laksa Goreng and Laksa.
Spend $15 at this event (maximum of 2 receipts can be combined) and you’ll be able to win Old Chang Kee’s red packets.
There’s even an old coffee shop photo wall for your #OOTDs.
Where:Â Old Chang Kee Headquarters, 2 Woodlands Terrace, S738427
