Fair prices at FairPrice? It’s more likely than you think.
NTUC FairPrice will be, from 22 to 28 Nov, distributing S$4 return vouchers for every S$50 spent in a single transaction, for up to a maximum of three vouchers.
These vouchers can be used from 23 Nov at all FairPrice outlets and are valid up till 31 Dec.
The promotion will be available at most FairPrice, FairPrice Finest, FairPrice Xtra, and Unity stores while vouchers last. The Unity stores in Changi Airport will be the only one exempt from the promotion.
“Through this initiative, [Fairprice Group] aims to help Singaporeans stretch their dollar further as they plan year-end gatherings with their loved ones,” a statement published by FairPrice group on 21 Nov stated.
That’s actually quite sweet, considering that December usually means festive gatherings and holidays, and more families would love the opportunity to maximise their savings for the holiday shopping season. Whether for food or for gifts, having more money to spend is always a good thing.
Four For You, FairPrice Group, You Go, FairPrice Group
Now, this is the fourth time FairPrice is giving out return vouchers this year.
The first two voucher schemes were held together with the CDC (Community Development Council) voucher programme during the first half of the year, with giveaways.
The third promotion, held earlier in October last month, is similar to this promotion.
The supermarket chain also continues to offer daily discounts for Pioneer and Merdeka Generation members of seniors, and CHAS cardholders.
Pioneer Generation card holders, for example, receive 3% off on Mondays and Wednesdays.
Seniors aged 60 and above enjoy 2% off on Tuesdays.
CHAS Blue and Orange cardholders get 3% discounts on Thursdays and Fridays, respectively.
It’s all a part of the group’s proactive initiative to encourage people to spend while enjoying great prices and deals.
Under their “Save Every Day” initiative, for example, shoppers can enjoy price freezes on seafood and produce for festive occasions and exclusive coupons.
That’s pretty cool, considering seafood can get pretty pricey, especially during Chinese New Year when seafood prices get sky high.
Charity all around!
It’s not just food and groceries that FairPrice Group is helping people with.
The FairPrice Group is also running their annual Share-a-Textbook drive, where members of the public can donate their used textbooks at 11 locations islandwide between 16 and 30 Nov.
Study materials and textbooks that have been approved by the Ministry of Education can be dropped off at nine FairPrice Xtra hypermarkets, at locations like AMK Hub, Jurong Point and VivoCity.
The textbooks and study materials can also be donated at Tzu Chi Humanistic Youth Centre, located at Yishun Central 1 and Vidacity.
“Through its 42nd Share-A-Textbook drive, FairPrice Group is collaborating with close to 30 community organisations, corporations and schools to collect and distribute used textbooks and other educational materials to Singapore students preparing for the new school year ahead,” said a FairPrice Group spokesperson.
“The aim of the donation drive is to improve accessibility to educational resources for all in Singapore, rally the community to support those in need, and promote circularity and sustainability,” the spokesperson concluded.
