Fake Burger King ‘Voucher’ Circulating in Facebook with Hilarious Grammatical Mistakes

Singaporeans might not be a lot of things: generous, forgiving and generally patient. But there’s one thing they definitely are.

Big suckers for vouchers.

As such, when this voucher came out, people were understandably excited.

A $200 Burger King voucher? I volunteer as tribute.

But here’s the thing; as you’ve probably noticed, there are quite a number of notions that this voucher is in fact… not authentic.

But I’ll feel like an idiot trying to explain them to you because it’s so darn obvious, so let’s just treat it as a ‘guess as many mistakes as you can’ challenge. Incidentally, the winner who can pick out the most will get an online cookie courtesy of our boss’ secret virtual food cupboard.

But the Big Mac OR Big King debate does get you thinking, seeing how I’m pretty sure that the former belongs to another chain.

Or did Mac King become a reality over the weekend?

Will the real king please stand up?

The 100% authentic Burger King Singapore Facebook Page has since stepped out and clarified that the fake post is in fact, fake and is also in no way related to them.

Transcript:

Please be informed that this “contest” is in no way affiliated with Burger King Singapore. Please refrain from sharing your personal information with this website.”

Well, I’m sure they wouldn’t want anything to do with this voucher, seeing how they don’t even have the courtesy to download Grammarly. Oh, the blasphemy.

Though it’s not in the Singapore menu, though.

One came up with a conspiracy theory.

While another came up with some nice flame-grilled beefAnd I’m not talking about the food.

Not really.

While it looks and sounds appetising af on paper (a striploin steak burger? I’m yours), reality doesn’t really work that way if these Netizens had their say.

All in all

It hasn’t been a good week for the fast food giant, with its latest offering not receiving the appraisal it should, and its site receiving some extra attention it shouldn’t be receiving.

But hey, if there’s any consolation, Burger King still isn’t having it as bad as oBike. Wouldn’t surprise me if people start a witch hunt soon, seeing the number of people clamouring for their deposits. Really, people nowadays…

But reallywhere is my deposit, oBike?!
