At Goody Feed, the writers are all secretly animals writing nonsense on the weird stuff humans do. I mean, you’ve never seen our writers actually publicly show themselves right?
(Okay, you caught me. You see some humans over on our Instagram page, but that doesn’t discount the possibility that some of our writers might still be cats.)
All I’m saying is… animals have feelings, can write articles, contribute to society, and need to play video games as well. Some of the above are truer than others.
So, the following doggo in a sad plight is pretty easy to sympathise with.
Voices For Animals rescue dog dumped in the pump room
The above pic shows the condition that the doggo was found in. You can see its pee and poo on the ground of the cages. This was in a pump room that happens to be beside a dumping chute.
All the dog had for company before being found were rodents, total darkness, a bad smell, and humidity in the pump room.
That counts as torture in my books, #justsaying.
According to the post by Voices For Animals (VFA), the doggo’s abandonment was a case of impulse buying and outgrowing its cuteness. The family may also have found its hyper activeness difficult to handle.
VFA was informed of its existence by people who heard barks at the site.
Ungroomed fur and overgrown nails
VFA brought the doggo back to groom, noticing that the fur was so matted that it was difficult to shave. Its nails were also untrimmed.
Doggo still happy
Despite what it’s been through, the dog seemed really happy to see people and licked everybody who patted him.
If there’s one thing we all love about dogs, or if it’s anything that this potentially-a-grumpy-cat writer hates about them, it’s their infectious and overwhelming pawsitivity.
Just look at its smile when it was in the grooming clinic:
And how good it was when the hoomans are working on him.
And after trimming the fur, the smile of the doggo:
As a potential-cat who prefers the darkness, that smile can only be described as a light that is too bright for my life.
He will be up for adoption when he is ready, for which you can contact VFA if you’re interested.
They have stringent adoption screening and interviews though, to make sure new parents are capable of taking care of their dogs.
