Haven’t been able to travel out of Singapore this holiday season because of work or other commitments?
Or if you did manage to travel, was the break too short that you didn’t get to eat your fill?
Well, no worries, because Taipei is bringing their night market to you.
That’s right, you read that right.
Taipei is famous for all of the tasty food that they sell at their night markets, and one of their most popular night markets, Ningxia Night Market, is coming to Sentosa’s Siloso Beach and Siloso Point on 16 January 2020!
This is part of their Asian Night Market: Taiwan Food Festival tour, and we’re so lucky that they’re coming over for the first time!
Pop-up Ningxia Night Market At Sentosa
This pop-up night market will feature more than 30 different food stalls, with our favourites selling flamed beef cubes, Taiwanese oyster omelette, egg-bombed scallion pancake, fried chicken cutlet, crispy salted chicken, grilled king oyster mushroom, and more!
And what kind of Taiwanese night market would it be if they didn’t offer some piping hot beef noodles as well? The beef noodles will be freshly whipped up by renowned chef Cheng Cheng-chung. And you’ll also be able to enjoy some Taiwanese sausage with glutinous rice by Hokkien pop singer Tsai Hsiao-hu.
Night Market Games & Performances
Other than filling your tummies with yummy food, you can also sit back and relax as local artistes like Wang Weiliang, Bunz, Ruth Kueo, Tay Kexin, Cold Cut Duo, Marcus Lee, AnchorBlanc, Jumpstart, Music Heart Band, and Garrick & Gavin bust out in your favourite Mandopop tunes.
If you’re young at heart and prefer to be more active, you can hop on over to the games section of the night market. I mean, it was reported that these games are meant for children, but hey, you might be older but that doesn’t mean you can’t still be a child at heart, right?
